Decorating with Teen Daughters: RoomMates Wall Decals, Books, & Shamzees

My daughters are growing up sooo fast and now, when they need to reorient their world, they move around their own furniture and tell me about it later. Since there aren’t but so many ways to change a room (inexpensively), here are a couple of ways my girls have added their own touches to their rooms (with our help):

Book Shelves

Recently, my husband helped my eldest create a single book shelf around the whole room just to hold all her books.  (At some point, I am hoping to gather all the pictures I have of this process into one blog post –  some day!) Teen Room Shelves

Wall Decals

My youngest daughter added One Direction RoomMates Peel and Stick Decor for a touch of celebrity to her walls: image   And, my older daughter (the book lover) totally enjoyed adding (with ease) a large The Hobbit wall decal to our downstairs basement between movie posters we had framed. She did it all by herself which lets you know just how easy they are to apply. It looks painted on! Stuffed Plush

We also recently received a Shamzee which my youngest, who still loves a bit of whimsy, added quickly to her bed – right under the One Direction boys. She isn’t quite ready to grow up yet == but truly, neither am I! Jay@Play plush {Disclosure: I received the wall decals and Shamzee for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.}
