Top 10 Items We Take On Holiday Road Trips #kia

On Traveling with Teens
Next week, my husband and I and our two teen daughters will climb into our sportwagon and head 12 hours south to my homestate of North Carolina.
After barely avoiding complete disaster with my car yesterday (after pumping gasoline into a diesel engine, driving it, and having to get it flushed out for $620), we are counting the days to our big trip South!
We have several must-have items that we always take to make the trip easier:
1. Coffee Thermos (FULL)
2. Travel Mugs
3. Audio-Books for the driver
4. Traveling DVD player
5. Books for the girls
6. Blanket & Pillows to make the ride comfy
7. Cage for the dog
8. Leash for the dog
9. Ear plugs for teens to listen to their own music and movies in back seat
10. Snacks for the road (apples, sandwiches, crackers, easy grab items)
Since we are going down for Thanksgiving, we actually try not to eat toooo  much on the way since our time in N.C. is one big food fest! I am so very excited to see family though and enjoy Black Friday shopping with my sister-in-law!
