Loving Rose Romano’s Italian Peppers Marinara on roast

Last night was the perfect night to try out our new jar of Rose Romano‘s Italian Peppers marinara with red bell peppers. I didn’t want to eat too heavy before today’s 5K and the topping was a delightful new addition to our traditional basic roast. I wish I had heated it up as the cool sauce cooled my plate of beef and I think I would like both hotter next time but the tasty tomato flavor blended well with the soft, slow-cooked roast and onions over rice with asparagus on the side. Yummy.

  1. That is a great idea to put it on roast! I find that when I heat it, the flavors are richer, but I did that the first few times I used it too – put it on stuff cold. It is kind of refreshing that way too – especially on white fish.
