GUESS WHAT I JUST LEARNED ABOUT: (How totally fun!)
Parents, kids and two tablespoons of Jif® peanut butter combined with a lot of creativity could be the ultimate recipe for success. From August 7, 2009 through November 13, 2009, the 8th Annual Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest™ is accepting entries from kids ages 6 – 12, for a chance to win a $25,000 college scholarship fund. Four runners-up will each receive a $2,500 college scholarship fund.
Now entering its eighth year, the Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest™ has encouraged thousands of families to spend quality time in the kitchen together and ignite a creative culinary spark in their children. Last year’s winner, Jordyn Boyer, was inspired by her Mom’s home cooking and regional influences to create her “Po’ Boy Peanut Butter Chicken Cheesesteak”. Her creative sandwich was made with Jif Creamy Peanut Butter with chicken, peppers, onions, apples and mozzarella cheese. Her entry was awarded the title of the nation’s most creative peanut butter sandwich and earned her money towards college.
Adults can flex their creative muscles, too, by entering the Jif Moms Voice Their Choice Contest. Adults can submit a story – 250 words or less – describing how moms make the best choices for their families. One grand prize winner will win a trip to New York City and a spot on the judging panel for the 8th Annual Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest event final.
