I hope that I can get to know many of you over the coming year seeing that I am now a Blogaholic. For those of you interested, some big time bloggers will be in Charlotte, NC this summer at the SheSpeaks Conference created by the wonderful women at Proverbs31 ministries.

It would be great to see you there! (FYI, I really really want to win the scholarship to this conference being posted this week at the site of Lisa Terkeurst because I have wanted to go for years, it is in my childhood hometown, I have read the Proverb31 magazine since near its beginning and I have just quit work to improve my writing to the point of publishing and feel this conference would be highly beneficial! Okay, breathe. Did I mention I am bringing a friend? Okay, I'll stop sounding desperate now. God, please! Did I pray that out loud?) See below for active link. It is also in my sidebar.
In addition to what I have said so far, I want to add that Proverbs 31 ministries has been a real inspiration to me and others around me with their magazine and commitment to growing women in the Lord. I still have the older pink notebook full of the 3 hole punched newsletters because the articles stand the test of time. Their magazine focuses on what it takes to honor God, our husbands, our budgets, and our families to be exactly what God wants us to be in Him. The articles are the perfect length in my schedule for reading and being inspired. The writers get it right in a nutshell and are obviously servants of the Lord with their speaking and writing. If you have never seen the magazine, you can get to it the link highlighted above. I would highly suggest it to anyone!
Though I have never attended a conference, I know by the websites, blogs and the magazine itself that the conference could only be a continuation of the prayerfully inspired works to which I have already been privy. Again, if you are looking to hone your writing and speaking, this is it!
Coming the distance we are coming, I personally would really like to at least split a scholarship with a close friend and fellow blogger so that we can both enjoy a break in cost due to additional travel costs. (I am so glad she is coming with me too!) I am just so excited to meet the authors I have been reading and to be inspired in my writing. I feel that a conference like this would also hone and polish speaking skills I have begun over the years and I know that anyone reading this would benefit if you are interested.
